onePOS offers a wide range of exciting features including complete kitchen management. Through the use of kitchen video, coursing, job throttling, and consolidation - you have vast new toolsets to enhance your kitchen operations.

Utilizing a Kitchen Video system, line stations receive each item on their monitors as they are to be prepared; a Well Done Steak displays 6 minutes before a Rare Steak, and then 8 minutes later a Salad appears on another display for the same table. All food is completed and passed through to Expo at the same moment ensuring hot food is hot and cold food is cold. The Expo station displays each item for each order as it progresses through the various stations and keeps the “Quarterback” in the know without having to yell throughout the kitchen. Since each item is bumped when completed, management has access to reporting metrics so that everything from staffing levels to item specific bottlenecks can be identified and resolved. onePOS calculates the ideal “finish” time of each course on an order so that the entrees do not arrive 60 seconds after the appetizers. In addition, onePOS can automatically account for changes such as an Appetizer being served as an Entree and can adjust an item’s ideal cook time based on the guest’s desired preparation temperature.

Job Throttling helps prevent your kitchen from crashing on extremely busy nights. The system restricts the arrival of Entree tickets into the kitchen to a certain number of jobs per minute, while still allowing other courses (such as Appetizers, Soup/Salad, and Deserts) to go right through. If more jobs are sent to the kitchen than can be produced, the jobs are stacked up internally and released at a set interval, ideally the same interval as they can exit the kitchen. This keeps the number of jobs in front of kitchen staff constant, panic levels to a minimum, and ensures that first and last courses do not get caught up in the traffic jam and frustrate your customers.

Consolidation groups like items together with a quantity number, and then groups like modifiers and sides under each.
